The Jamaica Book Festival (JBF), in partnership with the P.J. Patterson Institute for Africa Caribbean Advocacy, is proud to present the Africa Caribbean Literary Exchange—an ambitious cultural and intellectual initiative that brings together leading African and Caribbean writers, publishers, scholars, and literacy advocates in Kingston, Jamaica.

This exchange is designed to strengthen cultural diplomacy, deepen historical connections, and foster future-focused collaboration through literature. Delegates will engage in panel discussions, workshops, school visits, cultural experiences, and professional networking aimed at building long-term partnerships across the Atlantic.

The Jamaica Book Festival (JBF) is a national celebration of books, ideas, and storytelling. Created to nurture creative literacy and meaningful conversation, the Festival brings together readers, writers, educators, publishers, and cultural partners from Jamaica and beyond.

At its core, JBF believes that stories have the power to connect communities, spark imagination, and shape the future. Through immersive events, youth programmes, and cross-cultural exchange, the Festival creates space for voices to be heard, ideas to be shared, and creativity to thrive.

JBF is built on a simple belief: stories help people connect, think, and imagine. Our work supports young readers, develops emerging writers, and brings book culture into public life through events, programmes, and partnerships.
